Sono bastati due soli giri a Piero Longhi per conquistare la pole position. Il pilota della Twister Corse partirà domenica dalla prima casella in griglia nella gara di Magione (Perugia), valida come quinto appuntamento stagionale del Campionato F2 Italian Trophy.

Dopo aver fatto segnare i migliori riscontri cronometrici nelle libere, il pilota piemontese si è ripetuto anche in qualifica, grazie al tempo di 1’09”144, confermando così la propria leadership.

Al fianco del due volte tricolore rally uno straordinario Marco Zanasi (+0.394), che proprio nel finale ha beffato per soli quattro millesimi il compagno di squadra, Renato Papaleo. Il driver brianzolo è quindi costretto ad accontentarsi della seconda fila, al fianco del debuttante Simone Gatto (+0.595), primo con la Formula Renault. Un risultato che sorprende quello dell’alfiere del team TS Corse, distante poco più di mezzo secondo dalla vetta.
