Lavoro “doppio” per Pietro Peccenini nei test di Imola

Quasi 150 giri su uno dei circuiti più impegnativi al mondo.

Sono state due giornate di “doppio” lavoro per far fronte agli imprevisti quelle che Pietro Peccenini ha affrontato al
volante della Formula Renault 2000 a Imola. Insieme al team TS Corse il driver milanese sta preparando
la prossima stagione del campionato internazionale di F.Renault Alps, che scatterà proprio da Imola il 5 e
6 aprile. I test dell’11 e 12 marzo sulla pista emiliana hanno rappresentato un’occasione importante per
provare assetti, regolazioni e pneumatici, anche se le noie patite al motore, tra l’altro appena revisionato
dalle strutture convenzionate, sulla monoposto abitualmente utilizzata da Peccenini hanno stravolto il
programma di Pietro.
Purtroppo l’inconveniente è arrivato nel pomeriggio della prima giornata di test, danneggiando anche la
parte posteriore dell’auto proprio quando il driver milanese stava per montare pneumatici nuovi. A quel
punto prove finite e tutto il team al lavoro fino a tarda notte per assettare una seconda monoposto di
F.Renault. Il giorno successivo Peccenini ha subito dovuto prendere le misure alla vettura per poi cercare
di trovare confidenza anche con i treni di gomme nuove, con riscontri cronometrati in progressione.
“Il lavoro non completato sulla mia monoposto non ci ha scoraggiati – ha spiegato Peccenini -, abbiamo
continuato a lavorare senza soste e alla fine siamo tornati in pista riuscendo almeno a testare qualche
particolare in più e fare ancora più esperienza sul tracciato che inaugurerà il campionato. TS Corse è stata
davvero impeccabile e ora utilizzeremo i dati raccolti in vista dell’ultimo test pre-gare che ci vedrà
impegnati il 20 e 21 marzo in Belgio a Spa.”
