F2 Italian Trophy: 19 piloti in pista a Magione

Alex Perullo guida la schiera degli inseguitori del leader Piero Longhi nell’ultimo round prima della pausa

Ultima tappa prima delle vacanze estive per il Campionato F2 Italian Trophy. Dopo la gara diImola, la serie motoristica torna di scena il weekend del 2-3 agosto sul circuito di Magione (Perugia), per il quinto appuntamento stagionale. Ben 19 i piloti presenti alla gara, tutti pronti a dare battaglia a Piero Longhi, attuale leader della classifica.

In Umbria il due volte campione italiano rally cercherà sicuramente replicare la prestazione di un mese fa, che gli regalò l’allungo in campionato sul rivale Alex Perullo. Il pilota campano, affamato di rivincita dopo il recente ritiro, punterà a salire sul gradino più alto del podio, a distanza di tre mesi dall’ultimo successo.

Occhi quindi puntati sulla Tatuus, senza dimenticare Jorge Bas, attualmente terzo in classifica con 107 punti. Anche a Magione il team Costarica sarà presente alla Serie. Il pilota cileno, infatti, potrà fare affidamento sul compagno di squadra Fernando Madera, staccato di sole 22 lunghezze e pronto a mettersi in gioco.

All’appuntamento non ha voluto mancare il vicecampione della Formula 2000 Light, Marco Zanasi. Dopo il debutto vincente sul tracciato intitolato a Enzo e Dino Ferrari, il modenese è tra i candidati per il successo. A sostenere Zanasi nell’impresa, Renato Papaleo e Gianmarco Maggiulli, attualmente nella top ten del campionato.

Si rinnova quindi la sfida tra Zanasi e Longhi, con il pilota della Twister Corse che avrà come compagno di box Sergio Terrini. Presenti anche Giorgio Lattanzi, Alessandro Bracalente e Luca Martucci, così come Maurizio Pitorri e Vincenzo Iaconianni. Tra le new entry Simone Gatto, Marco Cesetti, Giovanni Ciccarelli e Marco Antonelli.

Definito il programma di gara, con tre sessioni di prove libere il sabato mattina (9:00-9:40 / 11:20-12:00/ 13:40-14:20), mentre al pomeriggio le qualifiche (17:25-17:50). Domenica invece la corsa entra nel vivo, con Gara1 alle ore 11:00 (25’+1giro) e Gara2 alle 15:20 (25’+1giro).
